WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE TEST?

how the test is marked

TAKE NOTE OF HOW ITS MARKED

Remember, the full license test is more about hazard detection and response than you would have been marked on. You’ll need to tell the testing officer what the hazard is, where it is in relation to you on the road and what you’re going to do about it. Don’t worry if you have trouble, it can be hard even for the best drivers to identify and explain hazards so take lots of practise in explaining what’s around you before you take the test! You only need a few words, don’t overthink it.

Other than hazard detection, the full license test will be similar to the restricted test as it tests your driving ability under different conditions and environments.

Just like the restricted test, you can get critical and immediate fail errors if you aren’t careful. These critical and immediate failures can be easier to get in the full license test though. For example, if you don’t fully stop at a stop sign that is a critical error in your restricted test, but for your full license this will be an immediate failure error and you won’t pass.

You’ll only pass the full license test with one critical error or less, so this is marked a lot harder than your restricted where you could have an extra critical error and still pass. If you get an immediate failure error, just as in the restricted test, you’ll fail the test.
